Trek to see Mountain Gorillas, enjoy an adventurous wildlife safari and relax on a tropical island. This incredible East African adventure takes in 3 adorning jewels of the region: Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcans, Kenya’s Masai Mara, and the idyllic coastline of Zanzibar. Your trip starts with gorilla trekking up into the Virunga Volcanoes, where you will spend your one magical hour with the last of the mountain gorillas. The time spent with the gorillas is remarkable and a truly humbling experience. Fly on to Kenya for a Big 5 safari in the uncomparable Masai Mara. Game drives, guided walks, and cultural experiences are all available for you to cherish during your Masai Mara safari. Finally, you can unwind and indulge in total relaxation on the rustic beach in Zanzibar.

ITINERARY

Plan Your Tour

You will be met and greeted by your Golden Rwanda Safaris driver-guide upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport. He or she will brief you on your safari before transferring you to your hotel for your overnight stay in Kigali at Governor’s Residence house or Kigali Serena Hotel
After breakfast you take a complementary city tour for you to know the country you are visiting and some interesting touristic spots in the city which may include the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site, and Kigali museums, late after Lunch visit Mountain Kigali and back at the Hotel.

After early morning breakfast, will be flowed with a drive to visit the park headquarters for Briefing about the dos and don’t s of Chimpanzee trekking adventures, this is home to 13 Primate species such as Chimpanzees, endangered, Blue Monkeys, colobus, red-tailed monkeys and grey-cheeked manga-beys. There are also about 300 bird species. Thereafter transfer to Your Hotel for your overnight stay and wait for dinner at Nyungwe Hill top view Hotel Meal plan Full Board.

After breakfast you will enter the Nyungwe forest to track the Nyungwe Chimpanzees. A walk into the forest with our knowledgeable guides well versed in botany, ornithology, and interspecies relationships will be a whole new learning experience for you. You will return to the hotel for lunch after lunch go for canopy walk and have your overnight at Nyungwe Hill top view Hotel.

Early in the morning you will head to Kibuye via Gisakura after the hikes of Nyungwe waterfalls. Along the way you will enjoy the thousands of beautiful green hills that make up our country as well as views of Kivu Lake. Your overnight will be at the Lodge where you can access beach of Lake Kivu with view of sunset.

Today you will transfer to Gisenyi by speed boat or by vehicle (the choice is yours). Along the way you will explore the wonderful views of the different islands along Lake Kivu and some of the Congolese hills. Your overnight will be at the Kivu Serena Hotel.

Early in the morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park for your first gorilla trek. You will arrive at the main office at 7:00am for a short briefing and coffee break before going on your trek. Your overnight will be at Five Volcanoes boutique hotel.

Another day of trekking this time a top Mount Bisoke or do Golden monkey trekking. After breakfast assemble at the park headquarters for briefing, you will meet your guide who will guide you as you hike Mt. Bisoke. The hike to summit takes 3 hours on average depending the pace of the climber, you will Drive back to the hotel for lunch, overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast, your Diver Guide will pick you and transfer to Akagera National Park via Kigali overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge

Eastern Rwanda on the border with Tanzania which is managed by African Parks, and this has done a great job with conservation. In the past, there were lots of conflict between people and the park but this was solved by fencing off part of the park and the introduction of community tours where visitors are
encouraged to visit the communities and benefit accordingly. Akagera national park is the only Savannah park in Rwanda and is home to several mammal species including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, and most recently Black Rhinos have been introduced
from South Africa, making Akagera national park officially a big 5 park like it was many years ago. It is also home to numerous bird species in several habitats which include woodland, swamps, lakes, and Savannah. Overnight stay at northern at Akagera Game Lodge

After late breakfast drive back to Kigali for Kigali Genocide memorial visit and short city tour and souvenirs shopping, depends on your Departure flight back home time. Bye Kigali.
